Reserved matters approval at Swingate Park

Odyssey is pleased to have supported Taylor Wimpey plc (South Thames) in gaining Reserved Matters approval at Land west of Park Farm, Hellingly (Swingate Park). The planning application was approved by Wealden District Council planning committee, and comprises 370 dwellings.

Odyssey provided the designs for surface water modelling and mitigation, highways, lighting, drainage, levels and preliminary earthworks across the site. Our designs saw several updates to suit the revised site plans, following consultation feedback and comments from the council.

At the planning committee meeting, Gerald Guma (Associate Director – Flood Risk and Drainage) stated that development proposals have been very sensitive to the existing flood risk issues in the area and will provide overall benefit instead of exacerbating current surface water flood risk.

Work is set to begin on site in the spring, and we look forward to receiving updates on the development of Swingate Park.
