Odyssey gave expert witness evidence for the appellant at this appeal, for up to 75 homes on a greenfield site on the edge of Midsomer Norton. Somerset County Council, as local highway authority, had objected on highway safety grounds.

Our evidence demonstrated to the Inspector’s satisfaction that the proposed mitigation would address the traffic impact of the development and would improve the operation of the highway network.

The Inspector agreed that the development would not harm highway safety. This overcame the council’s objection and the highways reason for refusal, and costs were awarded.
