Flood risk assessments

A site-specific Flood Risk Assessment is needed for most planning applications on land at risk of flooding, and for larger sites wherever they are. Odyssey prepares Flood Risk Assessments that meet the National Planning Policy Framework and the requirements of the Environment Agency and Lead Local Flood Authority.

Each assessment sets out the planning policy that applies, the conditions on site and every source of flood risk. It then shows how the development will be kept safe and how it will avoid increasing flood risk elsewhere.

We include the foul and surface water drainage strategy and the sustainable drainage design alongside the assessment, so that flood risk and drainage are dealt with together in one submission.
