Strategic flood risk assessments
A Strategic Flood Risk Assessment (SFRA) assesses the risk of flooding across a local authority’s area, now and in the future. Local planning authorities use it, with the Environment Agency, to guide where development is allocated and to shape their policies on flood risk.
Odyssey advises local planning authorities on Strategic Flood Risk Assessments. Our advice covers the cumulative impact of development on flood risk and the effect of climate change on risk levels.
We also set out measures and options to reduce the causes and impacts of flooding, including proposals for flood risk management features.
