Fluvial and pluvial hydraulic modelling

Published flood maps are often conservative. Site-specific hydraulic modelling gives a more accurate picture of flood risk, and can change what is possible on a site.

Odyssey carries out 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling to analyse and predict the flow of water in rivers and watercourses (fluvial) and across the land surface after rainfall (pluvial).

We have a good track record of using modelling to challenge conservative flood mapping, increasing the developable area on sites that were previously restricted by their flood zone.
